My Background

Vince Handler

My military experience, legal career, law enforcement background, community service, as well as my faith & family uniquely equips me to serve as your next Justice of the Peace.

Military Experience

Over the course of 20 years Air Force active duty, I served honorably in a wide range of roles that shaped my character, leadership, and commitment to service.

As a law enforcement Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, I conducted criminal, fraud, and counterintelligence investigations, working closely with federal and international partners to protect both personnel and sensitive assets.

As an emergency management director, I led response efforts for natural disasters, hazardous incidents, security threats, and combat support.

These experiences instilled in me a deep respect for discipline, integrity, and service under pressure. They continue to influence how I lead, serve, and advocate in every area of my life today.

Legal Career

After my military service, I pursued my passion for justice by earning my law degree from Baylor University. I’ve since built a respected career as a trusted litigator, representing clients across a wide range of legal matters. I’ve practiced extensively in courts throughout the Texas including thousands of cases in Denton County JP courts, gaining a deep understanding of the issues everyday Texans face.

I’ve dedicated substantial time to pro bono work, representing individuals who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford legal representation. Whether it’s helping someone navigate a complex legal dispute or offering guidance during a difficult time, I believe in using my experience and training to serve both my clients and my community.

Community Service

I've had the honor of serving on several local boards, including the Little Elm Board of Adjustments. I volunteer as a Teen Court Judge and trainer/mentor, helping young people understand accountability and the justice system in a constructive, educational setting.

I have served as a Precinct Chair and an Election Judge, working to engage voters, encourage civic participation, and ensure fair, efficient local elections. As a proud veteran, I’m an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Vice President of the Denton County Republican Veterans club, where I continue to support fellow service members and advocate for veterans' issues in our community.

Faith & Family

My wife, Angela, and I actively worship and serve at Fellowship Church, where our faith is the foundation of our lives and our service to others. We are involved in various ministries—from volunteering in outreach programs and supporting youth initiatives to participating in small groups that build connection and spiritual growth within the community.

We’re incredibly proud of our four adult children and ten amazing grandchildren. Whether it’s spending time together during holidays, or simply sharing life’s everyday moments, we cherish every opportunity to pour into the next generation with love, faith, and encouragement.
